BAISHUI currently based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, is a visual and installation artist recognized as 2025 Forbes China Contemporaray Art Masters Selection.
BAISHUI's artistic practice is grounded in a highly original creative system with a clearly articulated methodological structure. Through long-term cross-media research, she has independently developed a mode of creation centered on perceptual initiation, structural reasoning, and deep collaboration with artificial intelligence—referred to as the “AI Intuitive Reconstructive Method”. A defining feature of this approach lies in its integration of online digital generation and offline physical fabrication within a single creative system, establishing a continuous, reciprocal process of co-creation rather than a conventional sequence of translation from digital to material form.
Through the AI Intuitive Reconstructive Method, BAISHUI integrates artificial intelligence, material systems, and the artist's own judgment into a single generative structure, transforming artistic creation from the control of a singular medium or predetermined outcome into a process of continuous calibration within uncertainty. Online generation and offline fabrication mutually shape one another within a framework of co-creation. This approach not only redefines the relationship between image generation and material production, but also offers a practice-based paradigm for the use of artificial intelligence in contemporary art—one centered on thinking, structure, and perception—thereby extending the boundaries of artistic creation in the technological era.
BAISHUI's works have been collected by several major art institutions and commercial venues, including the Shanghai Chun Art Museum, the Powerlong Museum, and HKRI Taikoo Hui.
Baishui has an inherent sense of fluidity.
Water ripples surround her body, like scattered thoughts, shifting moods, and the passing of time. Baishui leaned back against her artwork, tuning in with her inner fluctuations. The shadowy lines formed in the deflection of the aura merged with her body gestures. In that fluid world, life repeats its cycle of self-transformation, like Zhuangzi's dream of the butterfly, which flies effortlessly across the sea to meet herself.
"This is who I am." After filming, Baishui dragged her dampened dress and stared at herself through the computer screen, “When I work, that's the state I am in." She was pleasantly surprised, and at that moment, she saw the Baishui at a distance close to her heart. She is passionate about many fields, but if she could only express herself in one capacity, it would be the role of the "artist." Because artists are free to express themselves in the real world. When a drop of water is magnified infinitely or a rose grows upside down, time is dialed back to antiquity to investigate the "contemporary" under each era. When a quantum rose coded digitally blossoms with the heart's leap when infinity, nature, and life are transformed into the real and the imaginary, compatible and mutually generating, which world is real? "What you envision would be seen, and what is seen is a type of reality."
